Devon attended the University of Notre Dame where he was Team Captain as a senior in 1992. He was also an Honorable Mention All-American in 1992. Devon was drafted in the 4th round by the Colts in 1993. He played both Outside Linebacker and on Special Teams during his 3 seasons with the Colts. Devon was named the Colts Special Team Player of the Year in 1994. The fans of the Colts named Devon “Unsung Hero of the Year” in 1993.
Devon went to play for the Arizona Cardinals from 1995–1996. He returned to professional football after a short hiatus, playing with the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena League for two seasons.
