Bio:

Don played college football at the University of Alabama under Coach Bear Bryant and 10 years of Professional Football in the NFL with Don Shula's Miami Dolphins.

While playing at the University of Alabama, Don played in 3 Sugar Bowls. His Junior year, they enjoyed a 11–1 season and won the national championship. He was named "Captain of the Team" his Senior year and led the team to a 12–0 season and a 2nd consecutive national championship. At the university, Don was named with All-American Honors and All-American Strength Team.

The Miami Dolphins drafted Don in 1980 as a Defensive Back. Don had a highly successful career with Miami. In both 1982 and 1984, Don played in the Super Bowl with the Dolphins. In both years, Don was named "Player of the Year" by Miami. In 1996, Don was named to the Dolphins' 25th Anniversary "Silver Anniversary Team".
