April News

March was a very busy  month for me.  We have many upcoming events .   March we had outreaches in Alabama,  Pensacola, Atlanta  St Lucie county Lamar SC and Lynchburg Va.  This Past week  We  had teams sing up to do assemblies in the Fall in the following areas Palmetto  Oct Winston Salem  September  Boone NC  Oct.  I spent the week  meeting with  current volunteers  and new volunteers introducing sports world in Greensborough, NC  Winston Salem NC  Martinsville, VA  Lynchburg  VA  Boone NC and Hickory NC  before traveling home.  In April   I have partnered with FCA to do a major Fundraiser in Sarasota on April 15th  If you would like more information or would like to help in any way please contact  me.  We need volunteers top drive and help out with events and to welcome some folks that will be coming into town that week to help.
Let me share one email I received just this week on the impact Don McNeal  had last week when he spoke to youth in west palm beach.  My heart goes out to these incarcerated students.  Thank you all for your prayers and support.
If you would like to support these efforts contact me directly on how your financial support can go directly to transforming young men and women!

On behalf of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and the youth of the Palm Beach Regional Juvenile Detention Center, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to you for arranging for Mr. McNeal to speak to the youth at our facility.

The youth and staff were truly impressed with the message delivered by Mr. McNeal.  The youth are still talking about him and his message, which is a true indicator that he touched their lives and instilled hope into them.

We commend you for your generosity. Thank you again and we look forward to working with you in the future.
Anthony C. Flowers, Superintendent

Starting off the New Year!

As this new year starts. I needed to stop and focus on what  really is important.  Family, friends, faith and YOUTH is what seems to hit me as the most  important.  I realize that with my kids now being grown I am not around teens like I was for most of the last 20 years. I was reminded of this in December when I was at Tomlin middle school in Plant City with one of our pros Ken Johnson. The Joy I saw on the face of so many of those students was refreshing. It reminded me of my times I spent coaching, teaching and mentoring students that age. Youth is the key to future.  They must be given the knowledge to be successful in life. Ken’s message of every student is uniquely gifted and talented and that they dare not give up on themselves really impacted all of us in the assembly that day.

I wanted to share some of the comments from students “   I loved what you shared, it made me understand life.”

“Thank you for coming to our school. I am having trouble right now. Knowing that failure does not mean I am a failure really helped”

Teachers were even impacted and took the time to comment to me on the positive impact on their entire class.
